Telecommuting Success Stories

Leslie Truex

Leslie Truex is a long-time work at home mom from Virginia. She has been working from home since 1993. She started working from home “before the Internet was big” as she states. Leslie admits finding work back then was a little more difficult than it might be today. The only telecommuting jobs that she could find at first were in sales. Read more about Leslie Truex.

 

Nanette Gomez

Nanette Gomez started her work at home job search in March 2001 when she had her first child. She diligently searched for a way to earn enough income from home to allow her to stay with her child instead of incurring the costs of daycare and commuting back and forth to a worksite.

At first, there wasn’t much for online telecommuting work, so she had to find work elsewhere. After awhile, online jobs became more available to her, so she was able to find some that were in her areas of expertise. Click here to read more about Nanette Gomez.

Loretta Oliver

Loretta started her telecommuting job search venture approximately 7 years ago while she was working for an onsite telemarketing company. Although the job helped pay the bills, it turned out to be a negative experience for her. Crissy Gipson

Melody Spier started looking at telecommuting as an option back in 2000 but felt at the time that she could not financially quit her job.
