Time Off - Not Me

Well, I thought I’d better chime in here.  Although I’m not taking any time off for a couple of weeks, we are planning some time in April, when Bug (my son) has school vacation.  I’m sure everyone who’s a WAHM can agree that being able to work when you need to work and tend to family when you need to tend to family is one of the biggest benefits to working from home.  As long as at the end of day (metaphorically speaking) the client and/or boss is happy, and the work is getting done, being a WAHM is great! Case in point, for Bug’s February vacation, we packed up the family and went to Vermont snowmobiling for a week.  Yes, I did have to bring work with me.  Yes, I did have to check e-mails and work on some spreadsheets.  But, come on, I wouldn’t change being able to go on vacation with my family and stay on top of my projects, and get paid, for all the tea in China.

Good points, Donna. Even when we take time off for vacations on a whim we can still get some work done if we really want to.

Work should never suffer for our desires of taking time off and playing hooky, but as long as you can balance it well…it just plain rocks. lol

Have fun on vacation this April. We’re going to take vacation then, too. Not sure what we’re going to do quite yet, but whatever we do it’ll be fun!
