Online Friends

Wow, I just got back online after being offline (moving) for a week and boy it sure seemed longer than a week.  I guess I never really realized that almost all if not all my friends are online friends and don’t live anywhere to close to me.

I guess as a stay at home mom I didn’t realize how much I’ve come to rely on my online buddies.  It gets a little lonley being at home all day without the commeradere of other workmates like I used to have when I worked away from home.  Not that I’d change a thing.  I love being home with my daughter but it’s nice to have an adult to share some converstaions with even if it’s by typing and not speech. :-)  Funny you never realize how much you rely on something till you don’t have it anymore.

Not only did I miss my online buddies but I actually missed work.  I couldn’t wait to get back online and get back to business.  So, I’m back and ready to go.

WOW Welcome back online and I hope that everything went smoothly. I know what you mean about missing your online friends :) Its funny to think about how much we love to connect with eachother electronically, isn’t it?

Hope your move went well. And I couldn’t agree more with missing online friends. Last summer my I really missed twittering and checking forums while we were on vacation. This year will be even tougher but if I can’t show my kids that I can unplug and survive, then I won’t ever convince THEM to do the same :)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome back. Had a lot to catch up on.

You are so right Christina. Got set the right example. I’m trying to get better at it. My daughter and I spent some great quality time yesterday. It was a lot of fun.
